When you become an Independent Travel Agent with our host agency you get to earn that commission! That’s all there is to it.

 

You book a holiday and you earn the travel commissions. That’s it!

 

You choose how you run this business – you can do it full-time or create a part time income around your job, family, other commitments completely without targets and all on your own terms as and when you want.

You also have the option to join our marketing team and recommend the opportunity to your friends and

family and unlock up to 8 pay days a month.

How do I Join?

Send a message to the person you have been speaking to about the business or who sent you to this page or simply click the ‘I’m ready to start’ button below and we will send you over all the information needed. 

It takes just 10 mins to walk you through the registration process and within a few hours you could be a qualified Independent Travel Agent and run your business however you choose. How exciting is that?!

How Much will I learn? How is it Paid? What happens with Tax?

How long is a piece of string? Every booking will be different but the average commission is between 10% and 15% (sometimes more!) and once you have done your initial mandatory training you will be paid 70% – 80% of those commissions with the other 20% – 30% going to our host agency less a few fees. This is the highest commission split in the industry and the earning potential is uncapped as there are no quotas, no targets and no maximums. Commission is not paid on non commissionable elements, taxes or credit card fees.

Travel commissions are normally paid 30-60 days after travel has taken place and will be paid directly into your nominated account in cash on two occasions during the month. 

If you also earn commissions from the marketing business there are many other streams of income and you can unlock an extra six paydays a month – again totally uncapped and without targets. 

We advise you to speak to your own financial advisor or accountant regarding tax and your personal financial circumstances. 

How Long does the Training Take?

As long as you need it to take! There is no time limit or pressure for you to get the initial regulatory training done or for it to be done within any certain amount of time but it will take approximately 2 or 3 hours in total. 

Most people spread it out over a couple of afternoons or evenings. Some people speed through their training and book within a couple of days and others like to take their time to really get to know the systems and processes in depth before they feel comfortable to start booking.  

After this mandatory training there are optional supplier webinars and specialist courses you can choose to watch to broaden your knowledge. Our host agency provides extensive FREE training with all our suppliers as well as regular in house company training on systems and destinations and we even help you with itinerary suggestions. The training is all online and is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week meaning you can do it at your own pace in your own time around existing commitments. 

How soon can I start Booking Holidays?

You have immediate access to your own booking system but need to complete the mandatory training first. Our team of experienced agents will guide you through this stage. Once that is done you are officially eligible to book and sell holidays but it is essential that you have watched and understood the relevant supplier or company webinar.

You will also be invited to our dedicated travel vault and support pages that give you lots of extra helpful information to help you learn more about the systems and suppliers. We share many useful tips and tricks and we have a whole host of useful documents to share with you when you join.

Do I have to Book for other People?

No. You can just book for yourself and your immediate family if you choose and never have to tell anyone else about it if you prefer not to earn the extra commissions. Of course once people know what you have access to they may want you to check a price for them and if you book you will earn money from their booking but there is absolutely no obligation to do this.

Are you restricted to what and how much you can book?

Not at all.  When you join you are able to book and sell holidays to residents of your same country (eg if you’re UK based you can book for other UK residents and if you’re not UK based then within your own relevant territory). You can book travel anywhere in the world for 1 night or 1 month or more. If it falls under the travel umbrella it’s more than likely that we can book it using one of our preferred partners or by approaching a hotel/ supplier directly to request the relevant rates. 

You can book 1 holiday or you can book 1,000. It’s totally up to you. The best thing is there are no targets or quotas which means no pressure but unlimited earnings and savings! Go and explore the world – but book it the right way.

Is this a Networking Marketing Business?

There are two separate businesses you can join as part of The Travel Opportunity.

The Travel business – provides you with the tools, systems, training and support you need to set up a home based travel business and operate as an independent travel agent. You can use the business as you like – to book for others and earn travel commissions or just to book and earn on any travel you do yourself. It’s your business – so you choose. There are no targets and no point systems so no pressure of any sort for your travel agency business. 

The Marketing business – is a separate business opportunity which allows you to share the business with others by activating your personal affiliate link and be rewarded for doing so with a very generous compensation plan. 

The Premium Travel Business Package gives you both businesses allowing you to maximise this opportunity and unlock up to 8 income streams a month with uncapped earning potential whilst helping friends and family earn from booking travel too.

What happens if I join and then change my Mind?

That’s fine – you can cancel at anytime with no notice. If you do decide to leave within the first 30 days we have a 30 day money back guarantee.

Anytime after 30 days you can stop the monthly payments with no penalty. There are no contracts to sign and you aren’t tied into anything so there really is nothing to lose but everything to gain.

You would however lose access to all industry privileges and access to any systems or suppliers. 

I have a full-time Job-Will it work for me?

Yes! We have no targets or quotas so you can absolutely do this around a full time job, hobbies or your family commitments. The beauty of it is the flexibility and lack of targets. You can do as little or as much as you want, as and when you want. Most agents with families or jobs manage to find small pockets of time in the day to research a hotel, send out a quote or explore the different suppliers. 

The majority of agents have part of full time jobs – we have doctors, government workers, pharmacists, solicitors, beauticians, teachers, stay at home parents and business owners amongst the men and women who have joined.

Do I need a big social media follwoing to be successful?

Absolutely not – many of the team have little or no social media presence and have built their businesses around family and friends.

 

Everyone loves to travel and we all know one person who knows another person … Word of mouth is a powerful thing and personal recommendations are the best way to grow your business. Once you book for a friend or family member, social media follower or work colleague the chances are they’ll tell their friends and family. This is how you’ll get new and repeat business. You also have more of a network around you than you realise – colleagues, school Mums and Dads, hairdressers, gym friends, running partners etc. We also have advice as to how to build your customer base and find clients as well as guidance about growing and improving your social media if you choose to use it.
